SNATCHER GAME PLAY

All versions of Snatcher play the same way (with the exception of the MSX SD Snatcher). The game has basically two "modes" of play: the investigative mode and the action/battle mode.

Investigative mode: If you have played any digital comic before, you know what this is, if you have not, you basically select options from a menu and proceed through the scenes.

Action/battle mode: consists of shooting sequences in which there is a grid where you aim your gun and shoot the enemies as they appear. Sounds easy huh? Well not really, if you get caught behind in destroying the enemies, you get hit multiple times.....usually resulting in death.

The only way to die in Snatcher is during the "action/battle" sequences. You cannot die by making a wrong decision on the investigative sequences. This is a little different than most digital comics in that you usually can die quite easily by making a wrong choice.
